Hi! I’m Tanja Kensinger, most people know me as La Alemana.

I’ve spent over two decades living, breathing, and teaching Latin dance around the world. I’ve taught and performed in over 50 countries, working with dancers at every stage, from those taking their very first steps to professionals continuing to sharpen their craft. Along the way, I’ve met incredible humans from every background imaginable, and some of my favorite moments have happened just as much off the dance floor as on it. Truly a gift.

My teaching style blends solid technique, musicality, and body awareness, with a big emphasis on owning your space, especially my ladies. Yes, I see you 😉

I created this platform to make my training accessible to dancers around the world. Whether we meet in person or online, you still have the opportunity to learn, grow, and work with me.
